Snow Day

Yesterday we went and played in the snow with Tyler, Abbi and Kennedi at their house. Skye of coarse was on cloud nine. Just being with her cousins makes her day, let alone when there is snow to eat/play with. It was Jordyn's 1st time playing in the snow. She didn't know what to think. She had a look of confusion on her face the whole time. I think I enjoyed watching her with it more than she enjoyed being in it. The 3 girls stayed out and played until they couldn't see anymore.

I love how they are looking at each other like...What in the world is this stuff
Jordyn got a little on her finger and examined it for a little while

Could they look any more miserable? It's because I was trying to get one of them together. One day I might get both of them smiling and looking cute

Oh Jordyn

Jordyn Is OBSESSED with light switches. I mean obsessed!! I cannot walk by a light switch if I'm holding her. She loves to turn the lights on and off. I'm sure the neighbors are wondering what is going on in our house because our lights go on and off all day long. If she happens to look up and spot a light switch she will reach, grunt and cry until I pick her up and let her play. She is still a major clinger. If I'm not holding her she is wrapped around my leg. I need to make a little shelf that straps on my ankle so she can just stand there and hold on. Hhmmm...Maybe I should patten it and call it the Clinger. I trip over her all day long. It's nice to be loved so much but man, I can't get anything done. I wonder if she will always be a mommy's girl--I hope so. Oh I just love her!!

Mommy Daughter Day

After Jordyn was born, Skye started acting out towards me. So I decided that 1 day a month I would take Skye out for a mommy daughter day, just the 2 of us. It really helped. For the next few days following our little date she would mind better and be totally different kid. When summer came we stopped doing it. Probably because she was MIA all summer playing with the neighbor kids. Now that it's getting to be cold again and we are stuck in the house together day in and day out. We are starting to lock horns again. So I decided that mommy daughter day needed to come back. I am going to try really hard to stick with it. I have decided that the 21st of each month is going to be our day and when Jordyn gets a little older the 6th will be her day with mom (their birthdays). Since the 21st lands on a Sunday this month we decided to do it today. For our date we went to the movie Toy Story 3. It was such a cute movie and Skye loved it. She sat on the edge of her seat the whole time until the scary parts then she climbed up on my lap. She kept saying through out the movie that she wish she had a Jesse doll. So yes, I of course had to take her to Walmart after so she could get one. She was so excited when I told her we were going to get one. She said to me. "I'll take such good care of her. You're the nicest mommy in the whole world!" It was hard not to buy her all of the characters after that comment, LOL!!. I hope I can do good at sticking with it. I loved the one on one times with my mom, being the only girl and I want my girls to have memories of just me & them one on one.

These pictures are a little too close & not very flattering. My nose looks 3' long.

My Cute Husband!!!

Regan will be so embarrassed when or if he sees that I posted this, but I don't brag about him enough. Yesterday I was at my wits end with Skye. She got into some caulk that was in the garage and got it all over her new dress that she had only worn one other time. She also plastered her mustang hood with it. I called Regan to see if there is anything that would get it off of her dress. I have been trying not to be so critical lately. Usually I would have called and ripped into him for leaving the caulk where he did. Even though it was just as much or more my fault for not watching her better. It's a Thompson thing...To point the finger and be critical. So I bit my lip and didn't say anything critical to him. That is why I'm guessing he did this...
If you can't read it very good it says. Mom, sorry for being a turd have a nice bath. Luv you Skye
He made me a bath when he got home for work and watched the kids so I wouldn't be bothered, he also ordered a pizza. He does random things like this for me every once in a while, which reminds me HOW LUCKY I AM. He is such an amazing husband and father and we are so very blessed to have him!!
I love you Regan!!!

Monkey Has Been Replaced!!!

I can not believe it!! Monkey has been replaced by the giraffe I brought home from Denver. I don't know how long it will last. But as for now Monkey is number 2. She didn't even have Monkey in bed with her last night, which is un-heard of.
While I'm on the subject of monkey...I found Jordyn sleeping on her frog using it as a pillow, like Skye does or should I say did with Monkey. It's so weird to me how these 2 sisters that have no biological ties are so similar in so many ways...Like how they both army crawled the same way and now their sleep habits. Hhmmm...I can't wait to find out the whole story on my little family. There is definitely something more to it than an amazing women who decided on adoption.

Broncos Games Nov.14, 2010

This weekend we went to Denver for the Bronco game. We went with Ryan, Sheri, Hunter, Tyler, Jon Kraus, Rusty and Holly. We left Saturday morning bright and early and spent the day in Denver shopping for Bronco gear. That night we met up with Rusty and Holly and went out to dinner. The next day was game day!!! We slept in...kind of. 8:30 is all I could sleep til. Then we went to get some breakfast and head to the stadium. We went to the McDonalds drive thru and I was loving my sausage biscuit until Jon made a abrupt stop and it along with my hash brown flew under Jon's seat. It was a rental car so I couldn't bring myself to eat it after it landed on the floor. There are bums on every corner begging for food, so I thought I would be a good Samaritan and give the hash brown that I was just going to throw away to a hungry bum. I was totally shocked when the guy said "No thanks, someone just bought me breakfast." If I was homeless I would collect as much food as I could because you never know when you are going to eat again. Something tells me that the stigma on homeless people just wanting money to buy booze is right. So after being rejected by a bum I decided to try one more time before throwing the hash brown away. This time, I asked the bum and he went to grab it and Jon drove off. I felt so bad! Jon didn't do it to be rude or anything he just had a bunch of cars behind him and the light turned green. So after that I decided to give it up. We got to the stadium took a couple of pics of me and Regan because we don't have much of just us 2. We bought more stuff and headed to our seats. The game started and the fun really began. They kicked butt. At the 1st of the game, every time they got the ball they got a touchdown. We did a bunch of cheering and high fives. After they kicked the KC Chiefs butts 49 to 29. We went to get some autographs. The new team doesn't sign like the old players use to. I only got Knowshon Moreno's autograph. He's pretty good so I was excited, but still. The other times I went, I would fill up on a bunch of autographs. I could of got Prater's but wasn't too interested. I was wanting the big players but they were pansies and rode the carts out to their cars. After we went to try out a Brazilian restaurant called Fogo de Chau. It's like Rodizzio's but twice as much and half as good. Or at least me and Regan think Rodizzio's is better but everyone else seemed to like this one better. We were laughing so hard because Sheri went to the bathroom and brought back a ton of nice napkins for Ryan. Next thing we know Ryan pulls out about 10 waded up napkins from his pocket. He has a bit of an obsession with napkins. It was so much fun!! We laughed until we cried...or at least Hunter did. It was nice to get away just Regan and I. We have definitely been needing some one on one time together. Little trips like that with good food and good company are so much fun!! I think we should go every year.
