Today I realized that my little girl is getting too big too fast. This morning we went to Skye's preschool orientation. She is going to love it. I totally embarrassed myself. At the preschool that she is going to they do swimming and tumbling. When we went and seen the tumbling they let the kids have turns jumping on this super bouncy trampoline. After awhile all the kids were done but of course Skye wasn't. We were running late to meet my cousins and aunt for lunch so I kept telling Skye it was time to go. She of course wouldn't listen. So I went to get her myself on the tramp. Did I mention it was super bouncy. I fell and took Skye down with me. She was crying and I was laughing. I felt like an idiot. Skye told me never to do that again. I told her "I'll try not to". Then tonight she started dance lessons. I was so proud of her. She did awesome! She caught on way fast. I didn't take a camera because I didn't think they would let us stay and watch but they did because it was the 1st day. So the pictures of her actually dancing are grainy and blurry because all I had was my phone and I was in the back of the room. I can't believe she is old enough for preschool and dance. Where did the time go?!?! Skye's dance pose
I made a Blog Header! I tried to make a background and I did okay until it came to getting it on my blog. I couldn't get it to work, so I did a header instead. I'm obviously not great at scrap booking so I am quit proud of myself.
Regan was so excited today. He went and rode his mule Darby for the 1st time. He was even able to get her to climb a huge boulder, with him on her. This is Steve Sorenson who trained Darby This poor little guy had a bad experience with a porcupine
We went down to St. George with Cheryl, Missy and Ellie but I can't remember what month. I'm thinking it was in May. Shortly after I had lost my little camera. After buying a new one I found it. I haven't used the old one since, until tonight. I was so excited when I seen these pics on it. Skye LOVED the sand dunes, of course! How cute are they!?!?
Jordyn's front teeth have finally came in and she has her Grandma Ondy's gap. This is her new face she is always pulling lately. I wonder if it's because those new teeth feel funny on her lip.
I have decided to put Skye in dancing and this is why. We were outside of Texas Road House waiting to be seated a month or so ago and she started doing "Who Let The Dogs Out" from the game Just Dance off of the WII. Oh, how I love this girl!
So a few weeks ago I was having some weird abdominal pains. I thought it was just really bad gas so I didn't dare go into the doctor. My sister-in-law Sheri kept telling me that something else was going on because gas doesn't last for days. It finally just went away on its own after 4 or 5 days. That next Sunday Sheri brought to my attention that I was LATE. I didn't even think that there was a chance that I was pregnant because we didn't do anything during ovulation time, or so I thought. Lesson learned...I ovulate late. So I started figuring out what day of my cycle I was on. I realized that it was like day 35. I told myself that if I didn't start that night I would take a test in the morning. I've been known to go to day 36 before so I still didn't really think anything of it. The next day I forgot to test. Like I said I really didn't think I was pregnant. So the next day I woke up early to get ready to go to Bear Lake with a couple of my sister-in-laws. I was looking for sun screen and seen the pregnancy tests under my sink, so I thought what the heck I'll just test. Immediately the test said that I was pregnant. I called up Regan and told him the news and he replied, "You're kidding, really!!!" While I was talking to him I did another test just to make sure it wasn't a fluke. Immediately came back positive. We told each other that we don't have the best record with getting pregnant on our own and that we were going to keep it a secret until we found out if it was a legitimate pregnancy. I was so proud of myself...I went the whole day in Bear Lake with 2 sister-in-laws and didn't even tell them the news. It was killing me not telling anyone. Regan ended up telling his 2 brothers Ryan and Rusty so I told Heather on our way to Raspberry Days. I could tell that Regan was excited and didn't have any mixed emotions so I kind of felt bad that I did. I was excited that I was able to get a bargain baby(less than $20,000.00) and get pregnant on my own but I kept thinking to myself, your baby is going to be a big sister in 9 months. My incision still itches from Jordyn's delivery and my nipples aren't all the way healed yet, Yikes!! However, I would be lying if I said I wasn't excited about it. Heather was having me buy ties for taking pictures of him when he gets here. Yes, we were both convinced that it was a boy. We were calling them Tyke's ties. So after having 4 days to get used to the idea and actually get excited about it. I started bleeding Saturday night(8-7-10) I have that date engraved in cement. Regan was pouring cement and we did the girls footprints with their names and date. Of course it was on a weekend when the doctor isn't in the office. I called anyway and they had me talk to the doctor on call. He said that if I'm not in any pain than I can wait tell Monday and have an ultrasound and some blood tests. I knew that it wasn't good...I was bleeding alot. So I waited and waited and called on Monday. They told me that if I wasn't in any pain that I could wait and come in the next day on Tues. Ahhrggg!! So I went in for the ultrasound on Tues. The ultrasound tech said that there was no signs of any pregnancy. The Tech said that maybe I just wasn't as far a long as I had thought. So I went and did the HCG beta quantitive blood test. Later that day I got a phone call from a the nurse saying that the ultrasound shows absolutely nothing as far as a pregnancy but that my HCG levels were really high. So I needed to go back in on Thurs. for another blood test to see what was going on for sure. More waiting!! Then on Thurs. I went in and that office was struggling. I sat in the waiting room for 45 min. The lady forgot to take back my sheet to the lab tech. Finally I had my blood drawn and went on with my day looking at the clock every 30 min. Luckily I have, My health which is a site you can get on and see all of your medical history and lab work. I went on there and seen that on Tues my levels were 3549 and that Thurs they were only 3694 which is still way high for a miscarriage but they weren't doubling and I knew what that meant(miscarriage). It still didn't seem right that they were so high and that they even went up that much so I was concerned. The office never called me that day. They forgot about me again and never showed the doctor my results. The next morning I called and of course my doctor wasn't in the office. Ahhrgg!! The receptionist said that it didn't look like my doctor had reviewed any labs and that a doctor has to review it. She transferred me to the doctor who was going to be on call for the weekend but the lady I talked to in that office was a brat and told me that he wouldn't be able to review my results. so I hung up. I started thinking bull crap I have the right to know what's going on. So, I called back and luckily it was a nurse that I know well. She said that she would print off the results and have one of the doctors there have a look at them. THANK YOU!! So after awhile she called me back and told me that the Dr. said that she was concerned that it could be ectopic and to get to the ER right away if I have any pain this weekend. So that was that. We went to the Fair/rodeo on Saturday with Matt, Jen, Toph and Brittany. I was feeling totally fine except for the fact that I was so stiff from P90X that I could hardly move. We went into the rodeo and after awhile I told Regan that I wanted to go let Skye ride some rides before it got too late. Toph and Britt came out with us because Halle had enough of the rodeo. Which I'm so glad they did. Out of no where. I started having some cramping nothing too serious just enough to make me think oh crap. Then BAM!!! The worst pain I have ever in my life experienced. It felt like a bomb went off in my body. I thought for sure my tube burst. I couldn't talk or walk it was even hard to breath. Some how I was able to get to the front of the fair grounds so Regan could get me to the car. We just left Skye with Toph and Britt no car seat, nothing. Regan drove like a mad man up to the hospital. We got there and of course the ER was filled with people. They must have pushed me ahead of a couple because we got back there fairly quickly. Whoever invented narcotics, THANK YOU!! they hurried and put an IV in and gave me some drugs and I was floating. I felt pretty good. They had me go back for an ultrasound(which hurt like a bugger) after taking a ton of blood work. Over the years I have become pretty good at reading an ultrasound. I couldn't see anything that showed any signs of a pregnancy anywhere. All I could see is follicles...or so I thought. The tech didn't say anything, so after the ultrasound I was telling Regan that I felt like an idiot. I came up to the ER for nothing. Then after a couple of minutes Dr. Strebel came in and said that I had a blood mass in my abdomen the size of a small baseball and that it was probably due to my tube bursting, that I need to go in for surgery immediately. The Dr. was going over complications and telling me that he wanted go in through my c-section incision. He said that we was going to cut out my incision from my c-section and give me a new one. The ironic thing is...When I found out I was pregnant I kept thinking I'm not ready for another c-section in 9 months. Ha ha ha! Little did I know it wouldn't be 9 months but a week. During all of this, nurses were flying into the room with forms and prepping me. I was thinking good heck you would think I'm dying with the way everyone is acting. The doctor was on the phone fighting with someone over an OR. They wheeled me down to the surgical waiting area. I guess that's what it's called because they let Regan stay with me. The doctor was pacing back and forth asking where is the anesthesiologist. I was thinking either this is more serious than I think or he wants to get home and get back to bed. Next thing I knew I woke up in pain and seen Regan and Sheri(Thanks Sheri for going up there and being with Regan. He was scared and I know he was glad that you were there). I heard them talking about what had happened but couldn't wrap my head around what they were saying. All I heard was that I lost my right tube. The one thing that I didn't want to happen! My right ovary is the only one that works right. During In-Vitro, it was the only ovary producing any eggs. My left one only produced 2 on the strongest protocol. There goes the idea of ever being able to get pregnant on my own. Bye Bye Bargain Baby! Hello another $20,000.00 baby. The next morning the doc came in and explained it to me. He said that the pregnancy wasn't in my tube, that it was down in my abdomen. He said that my right tube was completely blocked with scar tissue from my endometriosis and that the embryo probably started to implant on the frimbria(spelling?),(the little finger like things on the end of your tubes) then fell off and continued implanting into my abdomen. The sperm was small enough to get through to fertilize the egg but there was no way that the embryo could get through. So, he removed part of my tube and tied it off because if he didn't it would just happen again. He told me that I had him pretty scared. When he saw that my blood count came back as only 31 and seen the blood mass he thought that I was bleeding to death. That explains the pacing. Come to find out the mass was only 100 and something cc's and that my blood levels were that low because I'm pretty anemic. No wonder I can't get a good tan this summer. I'm still not sure how the blood mass came about. I'll have to ask at my post op. All I know is that when it comes to getting pregnant...I have some bad luck!!! So, that's the story of my Abdominal Baby. It's long I know but I figured that there are a couple of you out there that were wanting to know the whole story and I wanted to remember it so I thought I would share it.
Last week I went over to Bear Lake to help Heather with Rasberry days. It was actually kind of fun. They had a bunch of cute things there. My mom came over the 1st day with the girls and left with a new frog for Skye. Yes, we have a frog named George now. He will not eat. I think he has an eating disorder. I give him 2 weeks and he'll be belly up. If frogs do that. Heather was trading like crazy to all of the other booths that had bows, umbrellas and petti skirts for taking pictures. We have a bit of an addiction when it comes to props for pictures. The second day was interesting. It started off as a nice warm day. Then at about 6:00p.m. There was a huge wind storm that came in. The lady next to us flew with her tent/booth into her car. Cinder blocks were lifting off of the ground like they weighed nothing. Then sirens started going off. Not police or emergency vehicle sirens but city alarm sirens. Like on war shows when they are about to get bombed or if there is a tornado. Then this lady came up to me and yelled "RUN TO YOUR CAR...THERE'S a TORNADO!" I couldn't find where Heather was. At this point I was a little scared. Then Heather came around the corner and I told her what the lady said. So we ran like mad to the car. We called our husbands but they didn't seem to think it was as serious as us. We drove home, still a little amped up on adrenaline. The next day Heather went back to Rasberry Days for the final day and was told that there really was a tornado or a funnel cloud. People were taking pictures of it. CRAZY!!! What an experience and here I always thought that a craft show was boring.
Last week we went over to Bear Lake again. This time with Sheri, her kids, Kate(Sheri's sister-in-law), Tanner (Sheri's nephew) and Heather and her kids. We had a great time. Brenna was there and was quite the mama bear with Jordyn. I actually could sit down and relax. It was nice!! Jordyn kept eating the mud and Skye loved playing in it...Like always. I'm not ready for summer to end! It has been such a fun one. Jordyn thinking she is big Kimbal, Abbi and Skye burying Hadley in the sand Jordyn falling into the hamper trying to get something Me showing Skye how to build a sand castle Skye giving it a try all by her self Brenna being a great babysitter The cute little ones together Tyler pulling Skye around on the boogy board Abbi riding some waves Jordyn loving her pickle...Oh I could just eat her!!!
It is bugging me so bad to think that Jordyn is going to be 10 months old this week. I'm taking it pretty hard. I'll probably bawl on her 1st birthday. I keep thinking, don't grow out of the baby stage! I don't want to get baby hungry and have to work for another one. We will be able to go back on the adoption registry in about 2 months. Not that it matters...A birth mother will look at us with our 2 girls and think, gees aren't you GREEDY! Yeah we're never going to get chosen! Don't ask me why I'm already thinking of another baby. I'm not baby hungry! I guess I just know that I have to work for them a couple of years in advance. Now watch us get one in 3 months. HAHAHA!!! Oh Gosh!!! That just made me freak out a little bit!
On Friday we went down to the Tim McGraw and Lady Antebelum(not sure how to spell it) concert. Regan and I went with my mom and her friend Joyce. The opening act was Love and Theft. I have never heard of them before but I really liked them. I'll have to look for their music. I don't think my mom was enjoying herself too much. She was dying of heat and still had jet lag from her trip to Europe. She fell asleep during Tim. How is that possible?!? It was an awesome concert but the USANA theater needs to figure out some different parking. We were in the parking lot waiting to get out for over an hour and a half. It was worth it. Where is my mom looking? Well, at least she is smiling. We were so hot that we paid $5.00 for a snow cone. My mom must of had some bad cotton mouth because her tongue soaked up the color. It looked like she dipped it in blue paint. This is my mom sleeping during Tim McGraw. She kept saying it's 3:00 in the morning in Europe. It's Tim mom! You stay awake if it's 3:00 in the morning here.
