11/11/11

Today I found out that our baby is going to be born on 11/11/11. I'm so excited!!! He/she is going to have an awesome birthday!! I went in for my 1st OB appointment and I was talking to my Dr. about being confused on a due date, because of how all the ultrasounds were saying something different. He said that the last ultrasound with the Maternal Fetal Medicine was probably the most accurate and that had my due date at 11/11/11. When he said that he also said, " That's a cool date, we can schedule your C-section for that day." I was stoked!!! I had been hoping that I could have it on that day but I didn't think it was possible because it's on a Friday and his surgery day is Tuesday. When he was looking at the calender I asked him if he did C-sections on Fridays. He said, "It wouldn't be a problem." Then he said ,"Oh no, that's Veterans day and I'm a Veteran and promised my daughter I would take the day off to go to a thing at her school for the Veteran's." I said, " Oh well, that's okay." Then he said, "Well we could schedule it at like 7:30 in the morning then I could have the rest of the day off, to be with her." He then said, "You are the only one I would do this for." How cool is he?!?! I of coarse said, "Great!" 7:30 is the same time that Jordyn's C-section was at, so they will probably be born close to the same time. That's not the only cool thing that he did for me today. He was having a hard time finding the heartbeat with the doppler so he took me in for another ultrasound to make sure everything was ok. He told the nurse that came in not to log it because he didn't want me to have to pay for another ultrasound. Yes, he is officially the coolest OB/GYN ever!!! The baby was kickin' up a storm and bouncing all over the place. It is so fun to watch ultrasounds at this stage. When I was leaving he said that he would call up to labor and delivery and get me on the books for 11/11/11. He said that it's the earliest he has ever scheduled a C-section.
The baby looked great. I'm starting to feel better now. Bring on the belly!!! I'm getting more and more excited about this baby. At first I try not to get too excited because of "What if" but now I can't help it. Everything is looking good and I am getting super excited for this next addition to our family.

St. George

We went down to St. George this weekend with Heather, her girls and Lyn. I was excited to see my mom's new house that she had bought. The girls loved the pool because it's really warm( for the old ladies to do their water aerobics). I would rather go to an outdoor pool. They just seem more fun to me but the kids seemed content with the warm indoor one. We spent most of the time there. We didn't shop hardly at all this trip because none of us could afford to. Jordyn loved playing out on the patio. She stayed out there most of the day of Saturday while Brenna went to her dance competition. The drive down was good. Jordyn didn't let out a peep the whole time but the drive home was horrible. We had to stop to let Brenna pee and it woke Jordyn up. She is like me...When I get woke up I am so ornery. She was screaming for a good half hour , wanting to get out of her seat. There was a TON of whining going on. The only kid that didn't make a sound was Skye. She always does so good on that drive. Even when she was a baby, she was good as gold driving down and back. It seemed like the longest drive of my life. Not to mention I have just been super irritable with this pregnancy. I am really needing a break from my kids. With Regan gone working all week I have no break from them and it's starting to wear on me big time.

Jordyn loved jumping to the girls in the pool. She isn't wearing her swim top because the super warm pool, didn't seem so super warm to the baby with no body fat. She seemed a little warmer without it on. Even her lips were blue

Skye made it in the tube every time but this one

Striking another pose

Jordyn took quite the liking to Maddy, Brenna's cousin

She loved getting passed back and forth

Warming up on the patio

It was cracking me up how Jordyn was laying on her belly watching "Mouse"

She would reach over and grab a puff without taking her eyes off the TV

Another Ultrasound

Our little peanut has grown quite a bit in the last couple of weeks. I went in to the Perinatologist today to have them take a look at whatever it was on my right side. There wasn't anything there today so my Dr. must have been right about it just being hormones. The baby looked great. We were able to watch it for over a half hour moving it's little arms and legs around. The Dr. wasn't there yet and they were training a girl on the ultrasound machine so after the one lady did all the scans the girl practiced for a while. We definitely got our moneys worth today. It was fun!! The baby has been measuring a week later up until today. I went in today thinking I was 9 weeks and 4 days but the baby measured 10 weeks and 6 days. So now I guess I'm back to my original due date...11/08/11.

Mickey, "OO , OO" & " AH AH"

Jordyn all of the sudden decided she loves to watch TV and especially Mickey Mouse. I remember my nephew did the same thing, one day TV was interesting. She brings me the remote or points to the TV and says Mouse all day long. We get to have a Mickey marathon everyday. It's fun stuff! The one really good thing about it, is she isn't clung to me all day. She will actually sit in the chair with her "AH AH" (blanket) and watch it. Too bad I don't feel like doing anything because I could actually get something done around my house. I love when it says "oh Tootles". She says it every time. It's so cute!!!
Back on the subject of her "Ah Ah". She calls her blanket her "AH AH" and she is still very much attached to skye's Monkey. She calls Monkey "OO, OO". So when she wants them both she will say
" OO,  OO  AH  AH". It's pretty funny.

Another Miracle

So it may be a little early and I might be counting my chickens before they hatch but I figured, Everyone already knows and if something does go wrong I will probably blog about it anyway. Not to mention it's an awesome story and I want to share it.
It all started about a month ago. I went skiing with my mother-in-law and sister-in-law. I was telling them that I thought that I might be pregnant. I just had a feeling and I was late. Heather got all excited telling me that she has had a feeling for the last few months that I was going to get pregnant. She kept buggin' me to take a test so I did the next morning. It was negative. So, I went on with my day and the rest of the weekend not really giving it anymore thought. Then on Monday night I was watching a show, Skye and Jordyn were in Skye's room playing. Skye came running out, climbed up on my lap and laid on my chest for a minute. Then she sat up started rubbing my stomach and asked, "Do you have a baby in your belly?" I said, "No why?" She said, "We are going to have a baby brother and your belly is going to fill up again." Then she ran off. At first, I was like what the heck does she know something I don't know. Then I talked myself out of thinking that, telling myself that it was just her imagination because earlier that day I was telling her how her cousin Rylee was going to be a big brother on Friday. Then about a half hour later Jordyn came out, climbed up on my lap and started pulling my shirt up. She patted my stomach and said,"Baby." After that I was a little taken back. It's one thing for Skye to say something like that--but Jordyn? She doesn't know where babies grow. I texted Sheri telling her how weird it was, then I talked to Regan and told him about my interesting night. The next morning I decided to test again. It was POSITIVE!!!! I was so shocked that I was literally shacking for like 10 min. I think the thing that shocked me the most is that Skye and Jordyn were right. I took a picture of the test and sent it to Regan saying, "The girls were right!!" I thought that would be a fun way to tell him but he never got the text so I told him the old boring way. Then I sent the same thing to Sheri but she didn't get the text either. She called me asking if there was anymore pregnancy talk. So I had to tell her the old boring way too. I decided that the story was so neat that I had to tell everyone right away what had happened. I still don't know what happened in that bedroom that night and I probably never will. I asked Skye a couple of days later how she knew I had a baby in my belly and she just said, "I don't know." I didn't want to probe her or put words in her mouth so I just left it at that. I tested her and asked her what it was going to be and she stuck with "it's a brother." I guess we will find out if she's right in about 12 weeks. I have had a couple of ultrasounds to make sure everything is where it's supposed to be and at the last ultrasound I saw my little peanut and heard it's heart beat.
Our little peanut
measuring 6 weeks 6 days
They also seen a mysterious something on the right side so I have to go to a Perinatologist in a couple of weeks to get his opinion. For those who don't know, I have a bicornuate uterus (heart shaped) and it has a big muscular Septum(wall) dividing it in half. Jordyn was carried in the right side and this one is in the left. The ultrasound tech freaked me out and thought that the thing on the right side was a twin at 1st. They are still trying to rule out a molar pregnancy on that side. My doc seems to think it's just hormones making things exacerbated. Hopefully that's all it is. I can't imagine it being any kind of a pregnancy on that side since I don't have a tube on my right side and my septum goes all the way down. If it is, it's one tricky embryo.
