Cabin with the Darley's

We went up to the cabin this last weekend with the Darley family A.K.A my polygamous family. We joke that Erica and I are sister wives because me and my girls are always tagging along with them to lunch, dinner, ect... when Regan is away.
We had a great time!! We went swimming on Saturday. I was bummed because I had left my camera back at the cabin and it was free swim day so they had this HUGE blow-up slide that the kids could go down. At the bottom of the slide was a pool of FREEZING cold water. It was so cold that me feet were aching just standing in the water that had spilled out. So I was a little shocked that when Skye went down the slide and into that freezing water that she would want to go again. She loved it! Cooper...Not so much. He got turned sideways half way down the slide and had a look of terror in his eyes. I really wish I had my camera. It was hilarious. He hit the water and started crying. His lips were blue for like 2 hours after. Skye went down it 2 times then  I made her stop and go get in the pool to warm up. I was worried about hypothermia. Later that night Regan cooked us up some dutch oven. We put the kids down somewhat early and watched a movie. On Sunday it was a little too cold for swimming so instead we tried to go for a hike up Parader Canyon. The water is so high right now that the trail got washed away so that put the kibosh on that idea. Jordyn wasn't exactly loving the pack anyway so it was probably a good thing we couldn't go far. After an eternity of letting the kids throw rocks in the water we went back and cleaned up to go home. We will definitely have to do more of these trips with the Darley's.

I don't know what Regan is doing in this picture. I think he is trying to get Jordyn to smile.

IT'S A BOY!!!!!!!

Skye was right!! We found out on Tuesday that we are having a baby boy. Regan is on cloud 9!! It's cute to see him so excited. The baby looked great. I was worried about his heart just because his heartbeat has been up in the 180's every time that I have gone in, but everything looks great. He wasn't shy to show off his goods. He was all about showing that little thing off.  The tech said that he was a "BIG boy" and kept making jokes that he was proud of it. We took Skye with us to the ultrasound. She loved hearing the heart beat. She thought that was pretty cool. She was NOT budging on the baby being anything but a boy. I kept trying to prepare her that it could be a girl but she would just say, "No it's a brother." When the tech said it was a boy, I said Skye you were right and she said yep! You were wrong. I figured it was a boy just because she knew I was pregnant before I did, so she obviously knew something. It does feel good to know for sure though and I'm so excited to experience a boy. For a couple that had such a hard time getting started on a family we sure ended up with more than we could ever ask for.

Jordyn's 18 month check-up

I finally got around to taking Jordyn in for her 18 month check-up (She's 20 months). After hearing about measles being in Cache Valley I thought I  better get her in and get her MMR shot that she has not had yet. They pricked her heal to check for anemia or something. When the nurse pricked her, she said "ouch." No cry or anything. Then she put the band-aid on and Jordyn flipped out. She ripped it off and wouldn't let us put another one on, so I had blood all over my pants. That little bugger wouldn't stop bleeding.
My little lady is way under the charts now. She's not even close to being on the charts. I had thought that she reached the 20 pound mark but no... She was 19.2 with her shirt and diaper on. She is 75% in height and her head is just under 50%. The Dr. told me that I need to start giving her Instant Breakfast 3 times a day to try and make her gain some weight. I don't even know if that will help. She eats like a horse. She will eat a whole bowl of Mac & Cheese and a whole cheeseburger. I think she just has a crazy fast metabolism like her dad. Other than being extremely skinny she is healthy as can be.

Skye's Dance Review

On Saturday Skye had her dance review. She is so much fun to watch!! I loved it not only because I was able to see her dance but because she had a cousin in almost every dance. All of them did so good!! Jordyn did good and sat in her seat and just watched for the first half but then she decided that she wanted to get up and try dancing. Good thing we were on the front row so she could just play on the floor.

Getting her trophy

I was wondering why her hair looked so red but then I noticed that all the girls had a red tint, so it must be the lighting

Skye's Pre-school Program

Skye had her pre-school program last Thursday. Her class sang us all of the songs that had learned through out the year. She loved pre-school and is sad that it's over. She became good friends with Ella Watterson (the daughter of one of my friends growing up) and Henley ??? Teacher Mark's daughter. She is also very fond of David. She calls him her boyfriend. Yes, it's already starting.
Once again I ran out the door because we were running late and forgot not only the camera but also the video camera. My phone did do a pretty decent job on the pictures this time. I haven't checked to see what the video looks like. Good thing I bought a phone because of the 8 mega-pixel camera. That thing has saved me a lot lately.

This is a scrapbook that the teachers put together of her during the year. It's very cute!

ST. George Again

Parks, swimming, shopping and eating = Another great time in St. George

Skye's Show Off Day

A couple of weeks ago Skye had her tumbling "Show Off Day" at pre-school. I felt bad because I had missed her swim "Show off day." the week before. Skye went down to St. George with my mom and dad and didn't get the note that they send home until it was too late. It was so fun to see her. I'm glad I made it to at least one of them.
The pictures are a little hard to see. My phone doesn't have a zoom on it. I thought it was a little ironic that I was the only mother there without a fancy camera. I didn't even think about a camera until I got there. Thank goodness for phones.
