Tonight I was able to go see my cousin Marnie go through the temple and be sealed to her cute little family. We aren't your average cousins. I'm really close to her, her sister Missy and my aunt Cheryl. When we were little we would have sleep overs every night in the summers. Now days we go down to St.George for girl trips. I am so proud of her and Max. They have a perfect little family and now it's an eternal one. It's so obvious how much they love each other and their little guy. They are an example to us all. It was so neat how Skyler was crying, wanting his mom and as soon as they put his hand on theirs and said his name, he stopped crying and looked over at his mom and then his dad and didn't cry again until after it was over. It's so weird, it's like they know what is going on. I love watching sealings when a baby is involved. It brings back so many memories of when we were sealed to Skye. I hope I never forget how I felt that day. It was the very first time I felt it in my heart that she was mine, that she was meant to be with us and that it was Heavenly Father's plan. I knew it all along and when people would say she was meant to be with you, she just came a different way. I knew they were right but I didn't feel it. I loved her more than anything!! I loved her just as much as any mom has ever loved their baby, probably more. But, I didn't have that, "She is Mine feeling". Probably because up until the day before, I had to get permission to leave the state with her and she wasn't legally ours yet. As I was sitting in that same exact sealing room tonight. I was straight across from where I was sitting 3 years ago when they brought in my sweet baby dressed in white with her lips puckered. As soon as I saw her I got this burning sensation in my chest and right then and there I felt this wave of peace, and a happiness that I have never felt before and a voice in my head saying this is right, she was meant to be in this family, she is your baby. I believe it was more than just a voice in my head. The only other time that I felt the spirit that strong in my whole life, is when I met Kim for the 1st time. I don't remember what she was doing during the sealing except for a motor boat noise that she would always do at that age. I remember hearing her make that noise and giggling to myself but for some reason I always look down at those kind of things. I didn't look at Regan when we got married either. Everyone said she was smiling. I like to think she knew what was going on. I love her so much!!! I can't imagine our lives without her in it. She has brought so much joy and happiness to our family. She is so special that one mother wasn't enough. She deserved the love of 2. I am so GRATEFUL that I get the privilege of being her mother. I just wish I was better at it. She deserves so much more than what I give her. I HATE how hard I am on her at times. She is so smart that I forget that she is only 3 and I demand way more out of her than I should. I love my girls and my husband more than words can say and I'm sooo soooo thankful that I will be with them forever!!!!!!!!!!
These are the only pics of that day that I could find. I hope I didn't lose the others.
