Maui--Day 3

On day 2 we spent most of the day shopping and settling in. On day 3 we went up to the volcano, Haleakala. I was nervous that one of my kids were going to puke because the road up to it is very windy. Luckily neither one of them got sick. It was way pretty drive up to it and the volcano was amazing. After, we went into Lahina for a burger at Burgers in Paradise. That was the only burger that was worth the $8.00 we paid. Then we went back to the hotel and hit the beach for a couple of hours.
Ty and Skye. Skye loved Ty this trip. She was her little shadow the whole time and kept calling Ty, her best friend.

Skye in the sky... This is Skye's favorite picture of the trip. It shows how high the volcano is.

Skye would randomly strike poses when I would take her pictures. She made a few people on the trail laugh over this one.

Jordyn taking it all in.

Us @ Burgers in Paradise. Don't worry I'm well aware of how hideous I look in this picture but my baby looks cute and that's all that matters

This picture makes me smile:)

Stupid Header

For some odd reason the header I just made looks blurry when I put it up on my blog and I can't figure out how to fix it. I guess I'll have to make up a different one. Anyway , this is what it looks like not blurry. Oh and if it's just my stupid computer and it looks fine on yours let me know please.

Maui 2011---Day 1

I retract any negative statements that I have ever said about Maui. In January it is a totally different island than in July. It's amazing!!! It's gorgeous and there are whales everywhere. The temperature was between 80-85 degrees the entire time. It was one of my favorite vacations. We had so much fun!!! I was very nervous about the flight with Jordyn being Jordyn but she actually did pretty good. She had one big fit when we were descending into L.A. She was screaming and throwing her body around. It was pretty embarrassing and to top it off we were in a little plane and in the very back where the flight attendant sat and talked on the intercom. So when she was trying to give her little spill at the end of the flight, all anyone could hear was Jordyn screaming. The next flight was a big 5 hour flight but I dosed her with Benadryl and she slept 3 out of the 5 hours. On the descent we gave her some Pop Rocks candy and that kept her quite content. Coming home we flew through the night and both girls slept the whole way home. I took a TON of pictures(over 2000) so I'm going to break up the trip in a bunch of different posts. These pictures are of the 1st day that we arrived in Maui
Jordyn enjoying her Pop Rocks
The Hotel greeted us at the airport with lays
I wasn't expecting the kids to get wet, or else I would have put on their suits

Jordyn loved the waves. She would giggle every time one would crash

It's not very often that I can get a picture of Jordyn with her dad. Usually she won't go near him if I'm around

Skye's 1st Pedicure

Tonight at Valhalla Salon they were having a benefit, where if you did a mini pedicure for $10.00 it would go to the Ferguson family that lost their 2 little boys in a car crash a few weeks ago. Sheri and I decided that since we are headed for Hawaii in a couple of days that it would be fun to go get one and help the family out a little bit. I decided to take Skye. I thought that she would think it was pretty neat. I was right, she loved it!!! They didn't have enough time to give both of us one so I just had Skye do it. She of coarse picked the ugliest polish on the table. It was a lovely green color. I was hoping she would want a cute pink color but no, Forrest green was her choice. I was able to talk her into putting some glitter polish on top after we got home but now they just look dark. Oh well, she had fun.

You Know Better

Tonight we were over at Ryan and Sheri's house and the kids were up stairs playing. Hunter did something to Abbi that made her cry. Then we heard Skye yell at Hunter saying, " Hunter you know better!!" I guess I must say that to her a lot. I love the things that she comes up with and now for some reason she has a southern accent. She has a little twang to her "There and Stair" words. It has just showed up the last couple of weeks. I hope it stays. I think it's so cute.

Fridge Fun

Jordyn found something new and exciting today and it gave me some what of a break. For at least 10 minutes I was able to clean up the house without her clinging onto my leg. She would take the condiments from the shelf and put them in the crisper and then when they were all in there she would put them back on the shelf again. It didn't last long but it was a good little break while it did. I think her attachment to me is getting worse if that's possible. I thought that once she started walking that she would go and follow Skye around and play with her but no. She follows me around the house all day long pulling at my pant leg, wanting me to hold her. I seriously trip over her all day long because she is constantly at my feet. She won't go to her dad if I'm around. She will go to a few aunts and uncles pretty good and of coarse the Grandmas but she will stiff arm Regan if I try and hand her off to him. I love her to death and I'm flattered that she loves me so much but man I wish she would give me a break from time to time.

New Years Eve

For New Years Eve we had Ryan and Sheri's family, Rusty, Rylee, and Jon over for a some burgers and to play some Rock Band.  Regan was the singer. He really gets into, it's pretty funny. After a while everyone left but Regan, Jon and I stayed up til 3:00 playing it. I was falling asleep in the middle of the songs but I still was passing it some how. Skye found her man for the night (Jon). She wouldn't leave the poor guy alone. At 12:00 she kissed him on the cheek and told him Happy New Year, then ran into her room to give Hunter one and came back out to give her daddy one. She knows how to start off a new year.
